IKEM, Rosemary Temidayo, BM BCh, FMCP
IKEM, Rosemary Temidayo, BM BCh, FMCP is fellow of the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College. She is a senior lecturer in the Department of Medicine Obafemi Awolowo University and serves as honorary consultant physician and endocrinologist in the affiliated University Teaching Hospital. She heads the Endocrine, Diabetes and Metabolic unit.
She is an astute clinician and academician, with over 25 scientific publications in peer reviewed local and international journals. Her focus of research is on diabetic complications. She is also a reviewer in several local and international journals. She has attended and presented papers in many scientific conferences both locally and abroad. She is a member of many local and international professional bodies.
She has won several travel grants to attend conferences on Diabetes such as
1. International Diabetes Epidemiology Group (IDEG)
2. International diabetes Federation
3. British Endocrine Society
She is a co investigator of the World Diabetes Foundation sponsored SIDCAIN projects in Nigeria (WDF08-321 & WDF 10-515): the Strategies for Improving Diabetes Care In Ogun and Oyo states, Nigeria. She is also the principal Investigator of a research award granted by the Obafemi Awolowo University Research Commission on the Effect of a high fiber diet on the glycaemic and lipid profile of Nigerians with type 2 Diabetes.
She is happily married with children.
