KelbyCollins-Alabama

Since Collins picked Florida over Alabama in August, the four-star defensive end from Gardendale, Alabama, has been vocal about his promise to the Gators. But a late visit to Tuscaloosa is definitely interesting.

He’s a prospect in the state, the Crimson Tide wanted him in the class over the summer and that sentiment hasn’t changed so it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out in the final few weeks leading up to signing day.

Rueben Bain-Alabama

There are more rumors that Bain could turn his back on staying at home and playing in Miami. This is what makes Alabama really interesting, as Tide has been making serious attempts to add defensive ends in this recruit class.

Auburn was a school Bain has also attended numerous times so for the Tigers to figure out their coaching situation and play in the Iron Bowl, the four-star sack champion from Miami (Fla.) Central could do a little double-dip this weekend.

Suntarine Perkins-Alabama

Rumors have circulated for months that Perkins would eventually move from Ole Miss to Alabama, and with the uncertainty roadway kiffin in Oxford this could be brought back to the top.

There’s also talk that some in Perkins’ family are big Alabama fans and getting him to Tuscaloosa is a priority. The standout Raleigh, Miss., hasn’t turned around just yet, although another trip to Alabama this weekend could shed much light.

Lincoln Kienholz – State of Ohio

In the past few days, Ohio State and four-star quarterback Brock Glenn have split, and that could be because the Buckeyes have targeted Kienholz, who’s having a great senior season and could really be a sleeper in this class, since he is based in South Dakota. Kienholz is currently engaged in Washington, but he has timed this visit to Columbus so it wouldn’t be shocking if there was a reversal.

Rodney Gallagher-Penn State

Four-star Uniontown (Pa.) recipient Laurel Highlands has been committed to West Virginia since May, and his promise still stands. When the climbers move on from the coach no Brown, then Gallagher has to find a backup plan.

Penn State has shown keen interest, he knows the coaching staff at Happy Valley well and this weekend could set the stage for a flip if Brown is canned in West Virginia.

Matayo Uiagalelei-USC

Bellflower (California) St. John Bosco plays Santa Ana (California) Mater Dei for the Southern Section championship on Friday night and so Uiagalelei, who has been considering a visit to Georgia, is expected at the Coliseum for the Notre Dame matchup.

Ohio State and Oregon were the frontrunners for high four-star defensive end, but another USC visit could spark something else to watch.

Walker Lyons-USC

Earlier this season, Lyons said his commitment to Stanford remains strong but he wants to see a significant improvement in recent months. Instead of looking better, the Cardinal is now 3-8 and has lost four straight games.

USC was one of the favorites to recruit from Lyon and as such their return to campus is definitely something to watch. Turning down Stanford is difficult for a Northern California prospect who loves the academics there, but the football team is really struggling.

Christopher Johnson Clemson

Just a few days ago, Johnson had Miami and Ole Miss as his two favorites, but then Clemson and Penn State joined the fray. This weekend, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) speedster Dillard will pay a visit to Clemson after the Tigers have shown much more attention in recent days.

The struggles at The U and the uncertain coaching situation at Ole Miss could open up Johnson’s thinking even more if Clemson makes his case this weekend.

Damon Wilson – Ohio State

It feels like Ohio State will take a step forward in Wilson’s recruitment and be the team to beat against Georgia — with another visit to Columbus this weekend for one of all sports’ greatest rivals.

Wilson’s relationship with the position coach larry Johnson is a factor here. The Dawgs are absolutely not out of this one, but another trip to the state of Ohio is instructive.

Joshua Mickens – Ohio State

Four-star Indianapolis (Ind.) defensive end Lawrence Central was at Ohio State earlier this season and now with an offer from the Buckeyes that visit will be a lot more interesting. Mickens has been signed to LSU since July, but Ohio State has upped the Heat and expanded its defensive line, with Mickens a top target.
