17-event schedule ahead for WMMP

NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH – The 2023 calendar of events for White Mountain Motorsports Park has been released.

The venerable northern New Hampshire bullring is set for a 17-event schedule that continues White Mountain’s longstanding position as a Mecca for touring series and commitment to weekly races through a redefined balance between touring series and the weekly warriors that bring thunder to the White Mountains renewed.

The annual White Mountain Motorsports Park Car Show kicks off the season on Saturday, May 13, when racers show off their upgraded vehicles before getting some much-needed seat time after the long winter. Season 31 begins Saturday, May 20 with all six weekly divisions complemented by the first of three visits from Maine’s Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models.

Memorial Day weekend brings the return of the Spring Board 100 for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models as they battle Wall’s Ford Platinum Series in round number one. After being stolen in a hat trick by Derek Gluchachi of N. Dartmouth, Massachusetts, White Mountain supporters will surely be looking to keep the Triple Crown title at home next year.

The Wall’s Ford Platinum Series continues on July 29th as a tune-up for the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 before concluding on September 9th alongside the R&R Race Parts NH Street Stock Open. The Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series returns for the Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers to begin in June.

After launching on June 3, the Triple Crown series returns on July 1 as part of the Fourth of July celebrations, which will include a huge Northstar fireworks display before the Champion joins Maine-based Wicked on August 19 Good Vintage Racing Association is crowned. On June 10th, the circuit will feature an all-new $1,500-to-win event for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models.

A triple header of touring types will come in mid-June. The New England Antique Racers (NEAR) will join the NELCAR Legends and Bandoleros to complete a seven-man lineup along with the late models of the weekly championship, Flying Tigers, Strictly Stock Minis and the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division.

Speaking of Strictly Minis, the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini Special returns on June 24th. The annual extra-distance event for the White Mountain four-cylinder has become one of the most exciting races of the summer season.

The Midseason Championships follow the July 4th celebration on July 8th with double points on the line for all five scoring divisions including the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models and Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars. The July 14 Friday special will serve as the first off weekend for White Mountain locals as the PASS Super Late Models, PASS Modifieds and the New England Supermodified Series invade the track during NASCAR’s New Hampshire weekend.

July 22nd will be headlined by the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Model Special, which will pay $1,000 to the winner of the high-speed four-cylinder group, along with a regular lineup of weekly races.

August 5th brings back the $10,000 up for grabs Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 for the sixth straight year. The spectacular 250-lap extravaganza for the American-Canadian Tour will also feature weekly championship action for the Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers, the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis and the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division.

After another off week for the weekly warriors, Thunder in the Mountains returns on Saturday, August 19 with the Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series Championship and the Wicked Good Vintage Racing Association. White Mountain will fall silent again on August 26th for the Oxford 250 weekend.

September brings four stacked weeks with four fantastic lineups. It all starts on Saturday, September 2nd with the Late Model Leaf Peepers 100, all presented by Foley Oil & Propane. The NELCAR Legends will also be back in town along with the Flying Tigers, the Strictly Stock Minis and the Kids Division.

September 9th sees the R&R Race Parts NH Street Stock Open 100 – worth $5,000 to the winner – with another strong field of Street Stock teams from across New England expected to make their annual trip to White Mountain will do. The event will also feature the exciting championship round for Wall’s Ford Platinum Late Model series.

The American-Canadian Tour returns for the 45th Fall Foliage 200 on September 16th. Following a successful reconstitution in 2022, the PASS Super Late Models and PASS Modifieds will once again compete alongside the Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers on the legendary ACT Tour. White Mountain Motorsports Park will wrap up its 31st season on September 23rd with great success as all five point divisions crown their respective champions.
