Timothy Michael “Tim” Demers and Elizabeth Ann “Beth” (Hammar) Demers | News, Sports, Jobs

Proud US Army Veteran, Local Business Owner;

Timothy “Tim” Michael Demers of Hudson NH passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 7, 2022 as a result of a tragic fall at his home in Hudson NH while spending time with his sons, just days after the unexpected death of his beloved wife Elizabeth Ann “Beth” (Hammar) Demers from a seizure on October 1, 2022 while they were together at her home in Hudson.

He was born on October 25, 1968 in Manchester, New Hampshire, to the late Joanne M. (Deshaies) Demers and the late Richard R. Demers.

Drawn to serve his country, Tim enlisted in the US Army and proudly served as a medic in Desert Storm, first in the Army Reserve but then transitioned to active duty. He was stationed in Germany from 1988 to 1992 and then fought bravely in the First Armored Division during Operation Desert Storm.

Tim has worked in healthcare all his life. Always caring for patients firsthand and later in life by supplying medical equipment to disabled veterans in need.

He started his own company, Elite Medical Systems LLC. in 2020 and enjoyed this new chapter in his professional life

However, Tim’s greatest achievements were his family. He loved his wife Elizabeth dearly for over 25 years and was the very proud father of their two sons, Gavin and Alex Demers. He has taken her on countless family vacations, nurtured and supported all of her interests and passions and was exceedingly proud to be her father and Beth’s husband. He often marveled at how fortunate he was to be blessed with his beautiful wife and amazing children. They shared a love of metal, concerts, horror, movies and cars.

He will be remembered for his boundless energy, unique humor and compassion. As he has traveled through the years for work, Tim has formed many special friendships. He was always ready to give and support his time and energy. His military service is a testament to his character and passion for helping others, as testified by many of his comrades and soldiers. In a fitting final gesture, Tim saved the lives of 2 men by donating their organs after his death

He will be missed by so many.

In addition to his sons, he is survived by his sister Patricia Demers of Hudson NH, sisters-in-law; Kelly P. Hammar from Wilton, Julie Hammar from Hudson, Kristen Milosh from Litchfield and Mary Hammar from Pelham. Brother-in-law, Steven Hammar of Nashua NH, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend

Elizabeth Ann “Beth” (Hammar) Demers, aged 46, died Saturday, October 1 at her home in Hudson NH of complications from a seizure. Her husband Timothy Demers was by her side.

Sadly, Beth’s husband, Hudson NH’s Timothy Demers, died later on Friday, October 7, of complications from a tragic fall, just days later. (See the Pelham Funeral Home website for a link to his obituary).

Born October 22, 1976 in Nashua NH to parents; Cynthia Peters Milosh and Michael F. Hammar, grew up in Hudson and Pelham NH and graduated from Alvirne High School in 1994.

Beth worked for Gerber Dental Group in Hooksett for almost 25 years. She impressed everyone she met with a warm smile, a cheeky greeting and a caring manner.

Her pride and joy were her sons Gavin and Alex. There to support their interests and cheer them on. He’s easy to talk to, confide in, and have fun with. Her house was filled with music, laughter, love (and a symphony of barking dogs). She enjoyed family vacations, exercise, a good manicure and concerts.

Beth was ever present in the lives of her parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. The rock of the family! Never too busy to be there for the important things. She would also be the first person to give you a kick in the right direction when needed with a firm tone and a kind heart. She made time for those she loved, and it was time well spent.

Another passion was helping animals, especially dogs. Beth has rescued many dogs over the years as a volunteer for Pelham Animal Rescue. She worked as a foster mom (with ‘care fails’ along the way) and donated her time to the shelter. She made trips south, transporting dogs, hoping to find their forever home. Helping the needy, people and four-legged friends alike was a matter of course for her.

Beth left this world much better than she found it. Her influence will continue to be felt by others, forever more. She will be remembered for her beauty inside and out. For her bold red lipstick that matched her personality and her never-ending optimism in the face of all obstacles.

In addition to her sons, she is survived by her father Michael Hammar and his wife Cilene of Pelham NH. Her mother Cynthia Milosh and her husband Richard from Litchfield NH. Siblings; Kelly P. Hammar from Wilton, Julie Hammar from Hudson, Kristen Milosh from Litchfield, Steven Hammar from Nashua and Mary Hammar from Pelham. Sister in law Patricia Demers of Hudson NH and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Beth was predeceased by her nephew Lyric Michaud, whom she loved like another son, and her beloved dogs, whom she can meet at Rainbow Bridge.
