Preview of the NAHL weekend | North American Hockey League

November 18, 2022

Only 23 games are scheduled for a weekend before Thanksgiving in the NAHL as November draws to a close.

It’s been another good week for NCAA signings as a few more players make signings in NCAA Division I as the current season total is now 133 committed players.

Next week will be a busy week with many NAHL games during Thanksgiving week including five games on Wednesday night.

It’s time for four teams to catch up at Central this weekend as the top two teams in the standings, Austin and Aberdeen, are both idle. Minot will be at St. Cloud for two games as they try to end a four-game losing streak. Also, northern Iowa, which will host Bismarck, wants to make a four-game slide.

In the east the 1St Place Maryland Black Bears continue their six-game winning streak on the Johnstown line as the Tomahawks try to cool off one of the league’s hottest teams. Philadelphia will be at Danbury for two games as both teams look to end lengthy losing streaks. The New Jersey Titans take on the Northeast Generals.

In the Midwest, the Battle of Wisconsin goes as 1St place Janesville Jets are in Eagle River to take on the Windigo. Chippewa are back after a week-long hiatus as they host the Minnesota Wilderness, with each team tied on 24 points overall. In another action, Springfield is in Fairbanks for a few games and Anchorage is making the little trip south to face the Kenai River.

In the South, the Oklahoma Warriors will be looking for a win this weekend and also looking to extend their winning streak as they face Odessa for another game on Friday after winning 4-2 on Thursday. In another action, 3approx Location New Mexico will host Corpus Christi for two games and El Paso is in Amarillo.
