FORT WORTH, Texas — Yesway reached a growth milestone of 425 convenience stores in nine states this week with the opening of three new stores in Texas.
The Fort Worth, Texas-based retailer opened new Allsup’s C-Stores in Fort Stockton, Hawley and Millsap, Texas on Nov. 21, hitting its store count goal as the company has opened 39 industry-new and relocated stores so far in 2022.
The total follows a busy 12 months for the company, including the acquisition of chain stores Tres Amigos in September, the opening of new concept store Allsup’s Express in August next to the Texas Tech University campus, in Lubbock, Texas, and earlier announcements of new Allsup’s openings Stores in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
The three newest Allsup’s stores each have 5,630 square feet of retail space, 24 gas stations and also high-speed diesel stations.
These are the latest of the new large format stores that Yesway has developed and is launching, and more are expected to be completed by the end of the year. The shops are open 24 hours a day and sell Allsup burritos, own-brand snacks and essential groceries. The stores also include a new trucker/automotive department, beer den, Western Union service, ATMs and Coin Cloud digital ATMs.

early 2022, Yesway ranks as the 21St-biggest convenience store chain in the United States, according to CSPs 2022 Top 202 Ranking of C-store chains by number of stores. With growth this year, the chain could move into the top 20 on the list, depending on the growth of other chains.
